Tommy's Book
In the October of 2024 I was working through the final draft of In My Grandma Era. Then in November, my father died, things halted.
But he left me something precious. And unfinished novel he had written, that I had worked on with him. Tommy's Book.
Dad he believed in me, in my writing. And I believed in his. I always asked him to finish his book, to publish. He never did. So now, I'm finishing his work for him.
It's been years since I read his last draft. This picture of dad was taken 2016 - He was reading my edits and we were working through them together.
The process of reading his work, has been extremely difficult. His writing is amazing, but emotional. I'm not rushing it. I am appreciating and grieving with every step.
Please stay tuned for updates on Tommy's Book!

in my grandma era
This nonfiction book is part memoir, part self-care manual, part philosophical exploration on how our traditional values and simple living can make the busiest years of our lives more meaningful and lovely. A collection of memories and stories of my grandparents, with practical examples of how to incorporate traditional values, skills and wisdom into modern living.
This is first and foremost a love letter to my grandparents. Adorned with all the unexpressed love and appreciation, like delicate flower petals pressed into the pages. If you read carefully, you might be able to smell grandma’s famous chocolate cake, or grandpa’s worn leather gloves.
