about the book

This nonfiction book is part memoir, part self-care manual, part philosophical exploration on how our traditional values and simple living can make the busiest years of our lives more meaningful and lovely. A collection of memories and stories of my grandparents, with practical examples of how to incorporate traditional values, skills and wisdom into modern living.

This is first and foremost a love letter to my grandparents. Adorned with all the unexpressed love and appreciation, like delicate flower petals pressed into the pages. If you read carefully, you might be able to smell grandma’s famous chocolate cake, or grandpa’s worn leather gloves.

COMING SOON

As of July, 2024 I am working through the final draft. Then comes editing, and finally publishing... YIKES! I'm not rushing this process, but enjoying every second.

And yes, I am terrified to share my writing - have been since my early twenties when I'd post a blog, and take it down an hour later. Years of personal growth and healing later, I'm starting to realize that my fears are not worth listening to, if they keep me from living. My stumbling words, my memories, my simple life is worth sharing, if only to crack my own heart wide open.

Now as I am sitting at the precipice of my 30th birthday, and am about to publish my first book with the world - a book about my history, my grandparents, my lovely little life...

I've never felt so alive, never felt more vulnerable.

Well, shit! Here goes nothing!

I'm thrilled and terrified to present my book - to share who I am with the world, in hopes it makes others like me feel seen and loved. In hopes to make my grandmother's proud.

Thank you, dear reader, for making my dreams come true.
